Meet the Teacher Night and Ice Cream Social

As always, summer has flown by, and the new school year is quickly approaching.  We invite parents and students enrolled for the Fall to join us for our:

Meet the Teacher Night on August 13th at 6:30 pm

Please come with your enrolled student as well as their school supplies for the coming year. This evening will be a general orientation to PCA school life, an opportunity for your child's teacher to set expectations, and a chance to meet other families at PCA.  We are unable to offer childcare for non-enrolled siblings at this meeting, but it is our hope that both parents will attend with their student.

Also be sure to stick around after the meeting, as a special appearance by the ice cream truck is planned to round out the activities.

In addition to educating its students, one of PCA's goals is to provide support, encouragement and learning opportunities for friends of the school. One way is through informal seminars on a variety of subjects. Please join us for this upcoming event-

"How to Think Like a Christian"
by Joseph Bailey
7:00 PM, Thursday, January 26th, 2012

Jesus said the greatest commandment was to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind. How are we doing as the church in this regard? Are we really loving God with our minds as well as our hearts?

While the number of people claiming to be "Christian" has been gradually increasing in our nation, Christian thinking has been on a steady decline since the 1800's. Never have we been so vulnerable or faced so many enemies in our thinking as we do now. Join us as we take a look back at how we got into this condition and some practical ways to begin bringing heart and mind back together again for the sake of Christ and His kingdom.
